Lev Ramah, Heart of Ramah Campaign

Since 1947, generations of Ramah professionals and stakeholders have been leading from the heart—committed to nurturing, inspiring, and empowering Jewish youth and young adults to engage with their Jewish heritage as emerging leaders of our Jewish community. As we celebrate 75 years of Ramah camping and Rabbi Mitch Cohen’s two decades of movement-wide leadership, we are proud to introduce the Lev Ramah, Heart of Ramah Campaign.

Lev Ramah will celebrate Mitch’s directorate and provide new funding for causes he championed, leadership development and camper affordability, making it possible for many more children and families to have the gift of Ramah, regardless of financial need.

We ask you to please support the Lev Ramah, Heart of Ramah Campaign.

Lev Ramah—Leadership Initiative

Engaging and training young Jewish leaders is Ramah’s hallmark contribution to the global Jewish community, and is core to our vision for a vibrant Jewish future. Our signature programs engage older teens and young adults working as counselors, division heads (rashei edah), educational program developers, and year-round community youth educators. During the past two decades, Ramah has exponentially expanded its training opportunities, developed year-round leadership cohorts, and brought together many more Ramah professionals for networking.

Lev Ramah—Affordability Initiative

Prioritizing affordability will help provide national scholarship assistance for our camps and Israel programs for families experiencing extreme financial difficulty. With full confidentiality and dignity, this scholarship award process will continue to help camps as they strive to include children with a broad range of economic diversity.
