Dana Franklin Savion is a music therapist at Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital, and her services are more in demand than ever during the Coronavirus pandemic.

In her own words, she explains: "I continue to conduct individual and group therapy sessions as much as possible within the acute care ventilator support departments.  When departments are in isolation, I use zoom and video meetings.  When possible, I stand against the window of the patient’s room and play music to help stimulate the patient to converse.  In other instances, I build individualized music playlists on Spotify, in accordance with the wishes of the specific patient. Music has always been a medium of soothing connection, of uplifting the spirit, and touching the soul.  This has never been more important than in these days of Coronavirus at Reuth."
