Assemblywoman Annette M. Quijano is a longtime friend of the Jewish Educational Center and greater Elizabeth Jewish Community.  
 
A resident of Elizabeth, Assemblywoman Quijano has dedicated herself to advancing many causes dear to the JEC community, including improving public safety, supporting education, and the care, maintenance and enhancement of the area’s many neighborhoods.   Assemblywoman Qiujano avails herself regularly to the JEC Community, providing leadership, guidance and assistance to our institution and families.
 
Assemblywoman Quijano serves as a municipal prosecutor in Elizabeth and has served as assistant counsel to three New Jersey governors. She is the recipient of the Excellence in State Government Leadership and the Women of Excellence in Government awards and mentors young adults to consider law and graduate school in her free time.  Quijano is the first woman and first minority to represent New Jersey's 20th District. 
 
Assemblywoman Quijano graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Management and earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law.
