Event Details

Let's get running! This year, we are aiming to raise $65,000! Students will participate in a Jog-A-Thon on Friday, September 25 during school!

WHAT IS THE JOG-A-THON?

The Jog-A-Thon is a school wide event in which all students and teachers participate to raise money for the school.
Students will begin collecting online donations from family and friends on September 1. On Friday, September 25, during school hours, students will run or walk laps with their classmates for 15 minutes while a DJ spins tunes.

WHY THE JOG-A-THON?

The Jog-A-Thon is organized and run by our PTA. All proceeds collected go directly back to the school. Money raised will go towards:
- Classroom resources and technology
- Grade level and specialist support
- Enriching field trips
- Engaging family and community programming
The Jog-A-Thon is a great way to combine fundraising with a fun, physical activity for our students.

WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF THE JOG-A-THON?

To be the major PTA fundraiser for the school year by raising $65,000+
Increase physical fitness awareness while providing a fun team building experience

WHAT DO THE CHILDREN DO FOR THE JOG-A-THON?

Use their “Sample Letters” to encourage supporters to donate online
Proudly wear their 2026 Jog-A-Thon t-shirt the day of the event
Run/walk laps for 15 minutes while listening to the DJ spin some tunes

HOW TO DONATE?

We are accepting donations online at www.wizevents.com/waynewood-jogathon. To donate: Find the class you want to donate to by searching for your student's teacher. Click on donate button on your teacher's team page. Once you are here, be sure to include your student's first and last name so they receive credit for the donation.
If you have multiple children at Waynewood, donations for prizes are tallied per child not family, so donate separately to each child.

WHAT ABOUT VOLUNTEERING? Volunteer before or on the day of the run: guide classes to field, oversee water station or check off laps. Sign up here!

9:45 - 10:15 - Third grade
10:15 - 10:45 - Second grade
10:45 - 11:15 - Kindergarten
12:15 - 12:45 - First grade
1:45 - 2:15 - Fourth grade
2:15 - 2:45 - Fifth grade
2:45 - 3:15 - Sixth grade

Prize Information

Reach our $65,000 fundraising goal: A surprise celebration for the whole school!

Classroom Prizes

Classes who meet the $2,200 goal: Visit with Wayne and a surprise visit to their classroom by the Waynewood fairies!

Seven class parties will be awarded to one class in each grade level who has the highest percentage of student participation: Winning classes will receive a popsicle party and a special visit with alpacas!

Classes with the highest per student monies raised: The top three classes will earn a pajama and donut party in the classroom!

Individual Prizes

Individual student fundraising prizes will be awarded when students raise $60, $150, and $300. Specific Prize Information Coming Soon!

All sponsors have the option to hang additional signage at the Waynewood Jog-A-Thon Course on the day of the event and in-person participation in prize presentation at the Gobbler Gallop
