Beth Israel - Stuart Fine
Stuart was born in Baltimore, MD and has lived there his whole life, never living more than 10 miles from where he was born. He married Tami in their home (two weeks after moving in) officiated by Rabbi Goldstein. They originally said they were in a mixed marriage, he from Beth El and her from Beth Israel, but Beth Israel has become his home.
Immediately after joining the men’s club, Stuart started helping out and was elected to the board in just a short time. He is currently using his passion for cooking to head up the kitchen committee for the brotherhood as well as assisting the congregation with most of their Shabbat dinners. He is also co-chairing the Hearing Men’s Voices program and remains a board member.
Stuart says his time with the men’s club has kindled some great friendships and has made him a better person. He said this award could not have been won without the help and support of the men’s club members and the congregation.
