Women's League for Conservative Judaism Convention 2023

Vaccination
The health and safety of all attendees at the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ) Convention 2023 is our top priority. We believe the most effective way to ensure the safety of all attendees is for them to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Please note that proof of vaccination with ALL doses you have received and your name is clearly visible on the records will be required for all in-person attendees prior to travel to the convention.

Attendees should be aware that while WLCJ will make every effort to reduce the risk of COVID transmission on site, it is possible that attendees will come in contact with people in airports, transportation methods, hotels, and around the meeting facility who could potentially carry the virus. Therefore, WLCJ is requiring attendees be fully vaccinated for personal safety as well as that of others. This is the very essence of the value of pikuach nefesh, to save a life.

Accepted Vaccines
In the United States, the vaccines which are FDA approved are Pfizer-BioNTech; Moderna; and Johnson and Johnson.
In Canada, the approved vaccines are Pfizer-BioNTech; Moderna; AstraZeneca; Johnson and Johnson; Novavax; and Medicago Covifenz.
In Israel Pfizer-BioNTech; Moderna; AstraZeneca; and Novavax have all been approved.

On-site Safety Measures
For masking and social-distancing protocols, WLCJ will comply with local, state, and venue policies. WLCJ recommends masking (except when eating, drinking, or presenting) especially when social distancing is not possible.  Masks will be available on site.

We will have the option of a color-coded system on Convention badges to indicate one’s level of comfort with personal contact:

Red Dot: No personal physical contact
Yellow Dot: Elbow bump
Green Dot: I’m willing to shake hands or hug

Hand sanitizer will be available on-site.

Safety and cleanliness procedures have been implemented at the convention venue.

Self-Assessment
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend in person. If you are in-person, please administer a COVID self-test and remain apart from other attendees.

All guidelines are subject to change based on health and safety conditions at the time.

These protocols are based in part on guidelines from the American Academy of Family Physicians.
