When should I plan to arrive at the Convention?
We suggest that you plan your arrival to allow you to optimize your Convention experience.
Hilton Alexandria Mark Center check-in begins at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 12.
Convention’s opening plenum will begin at 3:00 pm. The first pre-Convention session for first-time delegates will begin at 1:00 pm. Judaica vendor shops will open at 10 am and will be open all through the convention except during Plenums.
Candle-Lighting in Alexandria on Friday, July 10, is at 8:17 pm. If you plan to arrive at the hotel on Friday, please plan to arrive at least an hour before that time.
Which airport should I fly to?
Reagan Washington National Airport is the recommended airport—it is about 4 miles from the hotel.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
WLCJ has organized a shuttle for our Convention. Pick-up will take place from Washington Reagan National Airport at 11:00 am, 12:30 am, and 2:00 pm.
Taxis and Ubers are relatively affordable, but travel time and price varies significantly with the time of day due to traffic congestion. Price also varies based on the type of vehicle and the number of people in the vehicle. Your Women’s League Region Madricha can help you coordinate a ride from the airport, or you can use the Whova app to help you find others to share your ride.
Is there hotel parking?
Yes, there is ample parking available at a discounted cost of $18 per day.
How do I find a roommate and travel buddies?
Your Women’s League Region Madricha will assist with this and other arrangements. Your Madricha will maintain a list of delegates from your Region, when they will be arriving at airports, etc. Your Region will inform you of the name and contact information of your Madricha.
What time zone is Alexandria VA in?
Eastern Time Zone (ET).
What is the weather like in the Washington DC area in July?
It is hot and humid in DC in July. The average daily high is 88°F/31°C and average lows are 71°F/21.6°C but with the humidity, it will feel warmer.
What is the Convention dress code?
WLCJs Convention dress code is business casual. We recommend that you pack travel-friendly clothes that do not crease easily and comfortable walking shoes for walking between sessions. We also advise dressing in layers.
What else should I pack for the Convention?
We suggest that you bring one dressier outfit for the night of installation.
Bring a sweater, the temperature might run cold in the hotel.
If it is your custom, bring a tallit, tefillin, and head-covering for services.
Don’t forget to pack your cellphone charger and other electronics’ chargers! And if you are staying for our Tuesday night event “Midnight at the Masquerade”, feel free to bring a costume or at least a mask!
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Accommodation can be made for many common dietary needs. Please include your needs when you complete your Convention registration.
What if I have accessibility questions?
The hotel is handicapped accessible. Make your needs known when you complete your Convention registration and your hotel registration.
Are there refrigerators in the rooms?
Every hotel room has a cooler, suitable for refrigerating medications and juice.
Is there free Wi-Fi in the hotel?
The hotel has free Wi-Fi in the guest rooms and in the public areas. Take note that due to the high demand for Wi-Fi that we expect during the Convention, we suggest that you use your data plan if you have unlimited cellular service.
Is there a drugstore nearby?
The nearest pharmacy, CVS, is 0.8 miles away.

How much of the Convention will be available for virtual attendees? What sessions will be live-streamed?
The Convention is an in-person convention. The plenary sessions and the meeting on Wednesday will be on Zoom. Installation will be live-streamed. The Bat Mitzvah will be on Zoom.

What if I need to cancel my Convention registration and/or hotel reservation?
Convention cancellations must be submitted in writing. All cancellations will be assessed at $250. No refunds will be issued after June 12, 2026. Check the hotel’s website for its cancellation policy.
