Doreen Bornfreund, is a member of the Executive Committee of Beth David Women, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which is part of the International Northeast Region of WLCJ. She most recently, was proud to serve as 2023-2026 WLCJ International Vice President & Membership Chair. She has previously held various positions on the Board & Executive of Beth David Women, including Sisterhood President, as Z’havah Chair for Canadian Seaway Branch and International Northeast Region, and as Kol Ishah Chair on the WLCJ International Board.  

Her employment at Jewish Social Service Agencies in Toronto – the JCC and UJA – provided valuable background to her volunteer positions.  While attending York University in Toronto, as an English Major, she met her husband in 3rd year and got her MRS instead of an Honours BA.  Doreen is the proud mother of 2 amazing sons & their wonderful wives, and devoted Bubbie of 2 treasured grandsons and 1 delicious granddaughter.  And she adores Albert, the golden-doodle grand-dog.  In retirement, when not involved with her many WLCJ obligations, Doreen relaxes by reading, writing, surfing the net, and doing crossword and sudoku puzzles.
