For the last five-plus years Esta has chaired the calendar diaries with Karen Ballena where they work from right after the high holidays through thanksgiving every Thursday for 2.5 hours on zoom. She is also an ambassador for the Torah Fund Legacy Society.
Esta began her WLCJ journey with her synagogue sisterhood, Temple Israel in Natick MA. She was Judaica shop chair for many years moving on to programming VP and then nomination chair and finally parliamentarian. She continues to be active in her sisterhood.
She continued with WLCJ as Torah Fund VP, region president, and nominating chair. The best part of WLCJ, according to Esta, has been the relationship that was formed with other immediate past region presidents and their husbands, as they travel together.
i am the proud mother of our 2 children, charley, or trans non-binary 1st born who lives in boston and alyse who lives in oakland,ca with our son in law, cory and grand dog, shishito. I am a hospice volunteer, a member of our egalitarian hevra kadisha, i love to cook and bake and quilting is my therapy. my husband, Barry and I just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.
