Susan Winter is a member of the Sisterhood of the Highland Park Conservative Temple- Congregation Anshe Emeth, Highland Park, NJ. She is on the Sisterhood Programming Team and has served as Programming Vice President, Education Vice President, and Membership Vice President, and she is the Security and Safety Committee Chair for her synagogue. She has served on her Synagogue Board as Recording Secretary, 2nd Vice President, and as a Trustee.
Susan is the Programming Vice President for the Garden State Region. She has also served as Sisterhood Support/Membership Team Vice President, and member of the Sisterhood/Membership Team. She has been a GSR representative to the Women’s League Board, and she was Conference Chair for the GSR 2026 Spring Conference.
Susan has been on the Women’s League Resolution and Public Policy Committee for 9 years and was one of the writers for the Women’s Health and Climate Change Resolutions.
For English B’Yachad, she tutors Ethiopian Israelis who seek to improve their English fluency to better compete in the Israeli job market. Susan is a Lifelong Girl Scout and is involved in Boy Scouts as a Chartered Organization Representative and a merit badge and Eagle Scout counselor.
Susan earned a Master of Regional Planning and has a varied career as a transportation planner and emergency management analyst. Susan is married to Mark Winter. She is the mother of 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
