Karen is a digital and creative professional with over 15 years of experience in administrative support and graphic design. A native New Yorker, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The City College of New York (CUNY), where she developed a strong foundation in visual communication and design. She is also a freelance graphic designer and has been a valuable resource to WLCJ regions, particularly in supporting online programming initiatives following COVID.
Since June 2020, Karen has served as the Digital Content Manager for Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, where she oversees digital communications and content strategy to support and engage the organization’s community. Prior to this role, she worked in the Torah Fund office as the Administrative Assistant before transitioning into her current position.
In addition to her professional work, Karen is the proud mother of two daughters, Elizabeth and Melanie. She is engaged to Carlos Cartagena, a social worker in the nonprofit sector. Karen enjoys volunteering and is actively involved in her community’s church, reflecting her commitment to service and community engagement.
