Laurie B. Davis is a proud member of Temple Israel Sisterhood in Charlotte, North Carolina, Congregation B’nai Jeshurun Sisterhood in Pepper Pike, Ohio and of Congregation Beth Shalom Sisterhood, Northbrook, Illinois. 
Central Great Lakes Region (CGLR) of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism holds a very special place in her heart, as she was the first CGLR President from 2008-2011.  
 
She is a former University of Iowa Hillel President, Parent Teacher Organization President and sisterhood President. She has held a variety of positions in her sisterhood and synagogue including fundraising and programming. Laurie was also a vice president of Torah Fund for the former KIPOT Region.
 
She now holds the Archives Chair position for Central Great Lakes Region. 
 
On the WLCJ International board, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors. For Torah Fund she serves as on the Cabinet and as an editor for Chadashot, the Torah Fund quarterly Newsletter.
 
Laurie loves working with Seniors. She holds a Master’s degree in Therapeutic recreation and was Program Director of The Montefiore Home in Clevelend Heights, Ohio. She was in charge of  planning activities for the entire nursing home including weekly outings and in planning a new facility. 
 
In her spare time, Laurie loves to cook, teach Mah Jongg, craft and travel the world with her husband Ira. She has two married sons and six granddaughters, aged one to seven years.
