Ellen started her journey in Women’s League with a heartfelt invitation to the Baltimore area Joint Sisterhood event when she was new to Maryland.   She soon joined Chizuk Amuno Sisterhood. As a newish member, she was asked to serve as the Torah Fund chair, which she initially declined and then accepted because the person asking was so kind.  This led to becoming the Membership VP and then President. Ellen was then asked to fill the remainder of the term as Recording Secretary on the Seaboard Region Board. Ellen’s last role was as Seaboard Region’s Torah Fund VP, a position that she has loved.   For the 2026-29 term, Ellen will serve as Seaboard Region President.

Ellen couldn’t have imagined how Women’s League would expand her knowledge of Judaism, increase her confidence, and enrich her life with so many sisters!  The message of this journey s is always to welcome people into Sisterhood because you never know where your kind invitation will lead.

Originally from New Jersey, Ellen worked for 20 years as a computer programmer, then took the time to raise her daughter and son. Ellen has been married to Jeffrey for forty wonderful years. Their son will soon be married right after this Convention!
